With the opening of the Matti family paradise, another highlight has been created for the entire family

July 3, 2022

The Matti family paradise – located next to the mid-station of the Gütsch Express on Nätschen – is a child's dream. Two trampolines, a climbing wall and a wide variety of playground equipment guarantee that kids will have a great time there.

After lengthy development and intensive planning, the project team headed by Fränggi Gehrig has wrapped up the construction and realisation of the Matti family paradise at the mid-station on Nätschen. A wide range of elements for climbing, swinging, balancing and sliding offer children many fun options to choose from. At the back side of the mid-station, there’s even a small mounting-climbing trail, and right next to it, a climbing wall with safety equipment has been installed, which can be accessed during the operating hours of the cableways . Safety staff are on hand to keep an eye on the climbing wall, and the requisite gear can be used all day for CHF 5. Admission can be purchase online , at the ticket office in the railway station or directly on location.

Grand opening celebration with entertainment programme

On Sunday, July 3, the Matti family paradise was officially inaugurated and opened by CEO Raphael Krucker. Visitors were treated to a delightful entertainment programme, featuring “Mr. Balloni” and a story-telling and tinkering corner. The abundant playground attractions were a hit not just with the children but also with the parents.

Just in time for the start of the mountain summer

With the opening of the redesigned Matti family paradise on Nätschen, Andermatt can now boast a further attraction, which was able to be realised just in time for the start of the mountain summer. Each day, the gondolas in Andermatt+Sedrun+Disentis bring guests up to the breathtaking mountain environment, where they can leave their cares behind. The mountain summer ends in Andermatt and Sedrun on October 16 and in Disentis one week later, on October 23.
