Property offerings in Andermatt Reuss continue to grow. Sales start for two more apartment buildings.

March 21, 2021

The apartment buildings in Andermatt Reuss now cover nearly the entire area on the existing infrastructure plinth. The construction of two more buildings will start after the snow melts in April. Although the sale of these houses has only just begun, 36 apartments have already been reserved. In the coming months, the start of the extension of the so-called podium will also lay the foundation for another 16 apartment buildings to be built.

The face of Andermatt Reuss has once again changed in recent months. More buildings are springing up around Piazza Gottardo, some of which are already sold out in the shell construction phase or have only a few apartments left.

Large demand for residential property ownership in the mountains

The apartments currently under construction could not be any more different. From luxurious penthouses with a permanently unobstructed view of the Urseren Valley to smart studios that make optimal use of every square centimetre to family apartments with spacious living areas. Six apartment buildings are currently under construction, and the units will be able to be handed over to the owners in the course of this year. Only a few apartments remain unsold. The demand for residential property ownership continues to be high.

Podium expansion

The apartment buildings are set on an infrastructure plinth, also called a podium. In order to enable new buildings to be constructed, this plinth needs to be expanded. The infrastructure of the buildings and hotels is located in it, along with the public and rented parking spaces and the access routes for the hotels. The next expansion will cover nearly 19,000 m2 and provide space for 16 buildings.

Planned apartment buildings

Once the snow has melted, Andermatt Swiss Alps will begin the construction of two new buildings. Koya is a studio building with Japanese-inspired apartments that feature clever built-in furniture and a loft, providing a maximum of space and comfort. Altera is the last building, which offers a permanently unobstructed view of the Reuss river, Fort Bäzberg and the Urseren Valley. The spacious, exclusive apartments are being furnished with premium materials from the region. The sale of the apartments was launched several days ago. Of the 46 apartments, 36 are already reserved at this time.

Moreover, plans call for the start of preparatory work this summer for the third hotel. Details will be announced at a later date.
