Chef's favourites - So what do chefs cook when they give their creativity free rein?

August 2, 2021

The kitchen team at The Swiss House, with Sharon Sturm, Mike Schelling and Sven Zeitler, will each be preparing their personal signature tasting menu over three Saturdays.

August 7, starting at 6 p.m.

Sven Zeitler is up first. He completed his training at a five-star hotel in Celle (Germany) in 2018. He then spent three years in Iceland to expand his personal horizon. His cooking philosophy is to keep his dishes local and seasonal, and he likes to forage for ingredients in the surrounding countryside. His tasting menu shows straightforward yet elegant hints of Italian and Icelandic cuisine.

August 28, starting at 6 p.m.

Mike Schelling has been with The Swiss House-Team since last May. After completing his training, he worked in various kitchens in Europe, followed by one and a half years in Canada. His creations are influenced by haute cuisine. His tasting menu is regionally focused, featuring innovative combinations of sweet and savoury items and unique desserts.
