In Andermatt, Patricia and Yusuf Savmaz-Cruchon have found a new home: “We had only recently started dating when we came to Andermatt the first time,” says Yusuf. But up here, they sensed that they belong together. Today, the couple has two daughters, and they spend all their spare time in Andermatt.
Second home. Perfect work-life balance
For Yusuf, it's important that Andermatt is easy to reach. “I head up after I finish work in Zurich. Maybe I’m still a bit stressed from the workday. But after 1.5 hours, I'm here – right in the middle of the mountains. There's no better work-life balance,” he says emphatically. The family enjoys skiing, strolling through the untamed yet charming Ursern Valley or simply being at home in their apartment.

Friends. For life
The daughters have made friends in Andermatt, and to their parents’ delight, they spend a lot of time outdoors. Patricia and Yusuf have also become acquainted with some of their neighbours in Andermatt Reuss: “People know each other. We meet up for drinks or dinner. A really cool community has evolved here, one that’s international and local at the same time.”
